    Mayleen Cortez-Rodriguez

    STUDENT RESEARCH FELLOW

Although she's loved math from a young age, it wasn’t until her second year of college, when she realized its power to create positive, meaningful change in the world that Mayleen began considering a career in mathematics. Now, as an applied math Ph.D. candidate at Cornell University, she conducts research in causal inference, a field with applications in public health, public policy, and more. She is excited to join the Real Good AI team this summer and contribute her skillset to solving problems for social good.
Outside of math, Mayleen loves singing, watching movies, and visiting amusement parks with her husband. She also organizes with her graduate worker union and is involved with the music and small group teams at her church.
